GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

In Year 4 this year, our teaching team consists of

How can we reduce evaporation? (Water cycle and clay coiling skills).

What impact has engineering had on the lives of humans? (Victorian England, the British Empire and making electrical CAM toys).

PE - Wednesday

Spelling - Spelling test- Monday, 6 new spellings will be recorded in the children‘s spelling log book on Wednesday.

Reading books - When needed

Phonics/MTC/SATs information

Year 4 children will complete the statutory Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) in June 2026. The purpose of the MTC is to determine whether pupils can recall their times tables fluently, which is essential for future success in mathematics. Further information about these assessments will follow later in the academic year.
