Year 5 - Ospreys & Owls
Welcome to Year 5!
In Year 5 this year, our teaching team consists of Miss Brookshaw and Mrs Welch in Ospreys and Mr Inker in Owls.
The children will be immersing themselves within our new GLF topics of:
All volcanic eruptions are equal: Support or Challenge?
How have Ancient Egyptians impacted on how we live today?
Light - Design and construct a product which allows you to look over/around something without moving.
Create Greek inspired clay pots constructed to represent one of the areas of Ancient Greek achievement.
Children will design and bake their own cakes, adapting a basic recipe to use ingredients of their choice.
A recording of children performing a piece of music inspired by the festival Día de los Muertos- Central American Day of the Dead. An art gallery honouring each child’s culture and ancestors inspired by Central American artists/artwork.
Spelling Test is Monday. The children will be given 10 spellings every week to learn and will then be tested on these 10.
P.E day is Friday, children need to come to school in their full PE kit..
