School Meals
Our School meals are provided by Chartwells.
With the current cost of living crisis, we have made a change to the catering offer, therefore all children in KS1- Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a universal infant free school meal, they will have a free and freshly cooked nutritious lunch. All children in KS1- Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a universal infant free school meal, which is paid for by the Government. We have always encouraged all infant children to have this meal as it is free and saves families the cost of making a packed lunch, estimated to be over £12 per child per week. If your child has a medical need for a special diet, a variety of options are on offer at lunchtime including a meat main meal, vegetarian main meal, halal main meal, jacket potatoes or pasta all served with salad, vegetables, freshly baked bread and a dessert. Menus can be found on our school website.
For nursery children and KS2, School meals cost £2.70 payable via Scopay.
If you wish to change from packed lunch to school dinners (or vice versa) please put your request in writing to the School Office via info@salfordsschool.org. Four school week’s notice must be given for this change to take place.
Our current Spring/Summer menu is attached below.
