GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Lost Property

Lost Property Process

We kindly ask that all items brought to school are clearly labelled with your child/ren's name. This makes it much easier for us to return belongings promptly and avoid unnecessary confusion.

The lost property bin is kept in the school library, and parents are welcome to check the lost property bin during drop-off and pick-up times if needed. If your child has misplaced something, please encourage them to look in the lost property bin first. When named items are handed into the office, we will return them directly to the child. Unnamed items will be placed in the lost property bin or listed in the weekly newsletter so parents can keep an eye out.

At the end of each half term, we go through the lost property bin thoroughly. Any named items found will be returned to the child, while unnamed items will be put out for parents to look through.

After this, anything that remains unclaimed will be donated or recycled.

Thank you for your support in helping us keep track of belongings and reduce waste. Labelling items really does make a big difference!
